Applus+, a global leader in the testing, inspection and certification sector, is a prime sponsor of FISITA World Congress 2023 – Technology of Mobility Conference & Exhibition, the major global automotive congress that will bring together leading experts and executives from the industry at the international level.
FISITA, taking place from September 12 to 14 in Barcelona, will include a presentation on disruptive innovation in the automotive industry by Joan Amigó, CEO of Applus+. At the congress, 29 engineers from Applus+ IDIADA will present technical papers on their latest projects related to new sustainable propulsion systems, safety, autonomous and connected vehicles, among others. At the exhibition space, Applus+ together with its divisions IDIADA and Laboratories will showcase its services for the automotive industry at stand 127.
The goal of the congress is to explore technologies, methodologies, and strategies among the most important automotive experts to drive the necessary innovation for the mobility of the future. With that aim, there will also be working groups, discussions on climate change, learning programs, and networking opportunities for students to connect with professionals in the field.
In addition to the congress, FISITA comprises three other simultaneous events: the World Mobility Summit, with a strategic focus and the participation of corporate leaders in the sector; the Intelligent Safety Conference Europe, which will focus on steps to achieve the Vision Zero goal (zero deaths and serious injuries on the road); and EuroBrake, the major technological event on brakes.
The 39th edition of FISITA will be held in Catalonia, a hub of innovation and technology where companies and research centres work on cutting-edge mobility solutions alongside a strong academic community. It has been organised by the homonymous FISITA federation, which represents the international automotive engineering community, and by the Sociedad de Técnicos de Automoción (Society of Automotive Technicians, or STA), the equivalent organisation in Spain.
