eVADER project

The eVADER project (electric Vehicle Alert for Detection and Emergency Response) has been successfully completed and presented.

The low level of noise produced by electric and hybrid vehicles has led to an increase in the risk of accidents involving pedestrians in urban areas. The eVADER project solves this problem by adding a directional and adaptive sound to these vehicles so that they can be easily detected by the most vulnerable users of public roads.

The final event of the project took place at Applus IDIADA’s facilities, where demonstrations in laboratories and on test tracks were carried out and the next day in Barcelona, where the benefits of this system where shown in an urban environment.
