Applus+ IDIADA has commenced construction to expand the ADAS / CAV Urban Area track at our Proving Ground near Barcelona in l'Albornar, Spain.
The works will add a 3-4 lane, 541 m straight to the urban ring and also additional Vulnerable Road Users crossing areas are being added to the main avenue section.
These works are part of our continuous development of facilities for testing and validation of autonomous and connected vehicles at Applus+ IDIADA, due to become operational in July 2024.
These new facilities will complement our existing proving ground capabilities; reproducing urban, interurban and highway environments and also our Connected Vehicle Hub, hosting 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G private cellular networks.
