Applus+ IDIADA India launches a local reforestation plan to plant over 200,000 bamboo trees in the next 5 years

Bamboo, celebrated for its quick growth and minimal environmental footprint, plays a pivotal role in sequestration and storage of CO2, substantially mitigating the effects of climate change. This initiative aligns perfectly with our sustainability strategy, aiming to rejuvenate degraded ecosystems, restore soil health, prevent erosion, and promote biodiversity.

Beyond environmental benefits, SUSTAIN will boost local community welfare by enhancing land productivity, thereby increasing regional incomes with bamboo's various applications, from construction to paper production.

This initiative marks a significant step in our efforts towards environmental, social, and economic sustainability, addressing multiple Sustainable Development Goals including Zero hunger, Climate action, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, and life on land.
