Applus IDIADA offers full ADAS and Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) development, testing, localization, and validation services internationally to meet the needs of each project. Our ADAS and CAV team has full capabilities in Europe, North America, and China, supporting other teams in South America and the rest of Asia. In addition, depending on project needs, local teams can be created.
Project management and engineering services for the development and integration of ADAS and CAVs:
Project management and engineering services are offered across all Applus IDIADA business units, including Spain, UK, Germany, USA, Brazil, China, and India. From each geographic region, local support is provided to our clients in the development and integration of ADAS and CAV systems with local engineering teams, which are supported by international experts. In addition, support can be provided for the implementation of local teams for specific projects.
Testing and validation of ADAS and CAV system performance on test tracks:
Applus IDIADA has local ADAS and CAV test teams in the United Kingdom and the United States, and also on test tracks in Spain, and China. In all these areas there is a team of test engineers and technicians and all the necessary tools for the execution of complex ADAS and CAV tests.
The tools include balloon cars, pedestrian, cyclist and motorcyclist targets, driving robots and all the necessary data acquisition systems. Above all, it is important to note that Applus IDIADA has its own test tracks in Santa Oliva (Spain), and Yantai (China). In the United States, the team has access to tracks on the East and West Coast and offers the flexibility to travel throughout the country to offer testing on any track required by clients.
The teams are sized to perform complex ADAS and CAV testing, including all types of consumer testing (Euro NCAP, US NCAP, IIHS, China NCAP, C-IASI, ASEAN NCAP, Latin NCAP...), homologation testing (including UN-ECE GSR), and according to the client's own internal requirements.
The combination of experienced personnel and state-of-the-art equipment and tracks, as well as the application of the same tools and processes, allow Applus IDIADA to offer ADAS and CAV testing under the same conditions from Europe, North America, and Asia.
Testing and validation of the robustness of ADAS and CAV systems on public roads: Field of Testing (FoT):
The international presence of Applus IDIADA with 38 offices in 26 countries allows the execution of ADAS and CAV field tests with international coverage. In this type of testing, IDIADA offers complete services, including route definition, data acquisition equipment definition, vehicle and data logistics, route execution with expert drivers and/or ADAS and CAV engineers and data analysis.
IDIADA has its own operational bases with experienced personnel and workshops for the deployment of ADAS and CAV test fleets in many countries. In addition, in those areas where IDIADA does not have its own bases, there is the possibility to implement a temporary base or to collaborate with local suppliers.
