Motorbike durability testing

Tests are performed with IDIADA’s internally developed tools:

• PAMPOL is an IDIADA internal tool for Project Management that integrates vehicle sample, spare parts and workshop task requests.

• DURSUITE is an IDIADA internal tool for Durability Management that integrates driver’s management, EDS, automatic GPS Analysis, test statistics, technical comments and documents.

• TASTE is a web application focused on the collection, storing, querying and comparison of test results carried out by IDIADA, allowing our customers to check test data directly on the internet and in a secure site.

Motorbike testing services offered in the durability department:

• Structural motorbike testing: The test can be done simulated on a test bench using the 2-poster road simulator or in the proving ground using the specific test track. The cycle can be obtained from both IDIADA’s experience and from specific RLDA (Road Load Acquisition Data) in the real market.

• Corrosion test: Test focused on vehicle corrosion to provide complete vehicle accelerated corrosion aging, simulating 10 years of normal usage according to a specific test pattern (SAE J1950).

• Fleet test: Validation of any vehicle system or specific part focused on engine and after-treatment systems. Data recording and post-processing in order to find working and critical points combined with emission’s test check.

• Quality test: Reliability and durability vehicle validation under real driving conditions in order to detect major quality issues to prevent market recalls and improve customer brand image. IDIADA’s support in a turnkey project with 2nd level diagnosis, including extreme testing conditions.
